Become A Member

Every Indian Buddhist Should Become A Member of The Organization And Work Towards The Objectives Of The Organization.

But Why This Organisation?

The Buddhist Society of India, established in May 1995, endeavors to foster a Buddhist Dhamma Movement with the primary objectives of disseminating the Dhamma, providing religious guidance to Indian Buddhists, and fostering unity among Buddhists at the national level. Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, affectionately referred to as Babasaheb, ardently anticipates the active participation of every Indian Buddhist as a member of this esteemed organization. Babasaheb approached the study of Dhamma with the discerning perspective of a researcher. His interpretation of Dhamma was grounded in a departure from conventional traditions, superstitions, and rituals, emphasizing a return to the authentic teachings of Buddha. He entrusted the responsibility of steering the Grand Dhamma Movement to the followers through the organized framework of the Society. It is incumbent upon us to act with a profound awareness of this responsibility. By aligning ourselves with the organization, we contribute to the collective effort in propelling the Dhamma Movement forward. Thus, it is imperative that we actively engage and become integral participants in this organization.
